WinteR of LeaRning

Is 2022 the year that you will learn how to do statistical programming in R? If so, the Data Science Initiative is here to help. We would like to bring your attention to our upcoming WinteR of LeaRning series of virtual workshops focused on R programming and taught by myself and Karla Lindquist, PhD.

As you may have guessed from the name, our WinteR of LeaRning series is focused on R-based data science. Since these workshops will be offered over lunch hours, you will consume bite-sized, 1-hour chunks of R programming. Bring your lunch and enjoy the R meal with us! Sign up through the links below:

R for Everyone Part 1: Thursday, 1/6, 11:30 – 12:30 PM
R for Everyone Part 2: Thursday, 1/13, 11:30 – 12:30 PM
R for Data Manipulation Part 1: Thursday, 1/20, 11:30 – 12:30 PM
R for Data Manipulation Part 2: Thursday, 1/27, 11:30 – 12:30 PM
R for Visualizations Part 1: Thursday, 2/3, 11:30 – 12:30 PM
R for Visualizations Part 2: Thursday, 2/10, 11:30 – 12:30 PM
R for Statistics Part 1: Thursday, 2/17, 11:30 – 12:30 PM
R for Statistics Part 2: Thursday, 2/24, 11:30 – 12:30 PM

To build on the foundation laid out by the WinteR of LeaRning workshops, you will also have the opportunity to practice R programming in our hands-on workshops. Look out for these SpRing LeaRning opportunities:

  • Introduction to ggplot2 in R: Thursday, 3/10, 3:00 – 5:00 PM
  • Univariate and Bivariate Statistics with R: Thursday, 3/17, 3:00 – 5:00 PM
  • Regression Modeling with R Part 1: Thursday, 3/24, 3:00 – 5:00 PM
  • Regression Modeling with R Part 2: Thursday, 3/31, 3:00 – 5:00 PM
  • And more … stay tuned!

We wish you all a happy new year!
