Open Access Publishing Discounts

Did you know that UCSF provides authors discounts on publishing open access articles and books with several publishers? Through the University of California’s institutional subscriptions and membership programs, all UCSF authors are eligible for discounts on open access publication costs with participating publisher agreements.

The discounts range from 15% for articles published in BioMed Central and Springer Open journals up to 100% for articles published with the Electrochemical Society. On top of the UC discounts, AAAS and the American Chemical Society offer further cost savings to society members.

For those who publish books, the University of California’s support for the UC Press’s open access book publishing program, Luminos, as well as Open Book Publishers, give authors a better deal.
