While access to some physical spaces may be limited, many resources and services are always available remotely. This is an outline of ways to access online collections, connect with library experts, and stay informed about any changes to library operations.
Access library resources
Most library collections are available online and can be used from any location with your UCSF credentials. This includes:
Find articles and research
- UC Library Search – Search books, articles, journals, ebooks, and more from UCSF and UC Libraries.
- Journals – Browse or search for a specific online journal by title.
- Databases – Access research databases, scholarly journals, and other licensed online resources.
- Research Guides – Find subject guides, course guides, and recommended resources created by UCSF librarians.
Course and learning resources
- Course Reserves – Find course materials and assigned readings made available by your instructor.
- Media@UCSF – Access streaming video, lecture recordings, and multimedia resources for teaching and learning.
Specialized collections
- Industry Documents Library – Explore a digital archive of millions of publicly available corporate documents from the tobacco, opioid, drug, food, chemical, and fossil fuel industries.
Connect with library experts
Even when campus operations are disrupted, we continue to provide research, teaching, and consultation services remotely. Faculty, staff, students, and researchers can connect with library experts for assistance. Available services include:
Physical spaces
In the event of a campus disruption or emergency, library hours and access to some physical spaces may be limited. Affected areas could include study spaces, multimedia equipment lending, computer labs, etc. This page will be updated to share any announcements regarding closures, reduced services, and re-opening plans.
