Welcome Kate Goff, Outreach and Education Specialist

Kate Goff

The Industry Documents Library (IDL) welcomes Kate Goff as the new outreach and education specialist. A content designer and communicator, Kate brings extensive experience across health sciences, higher education, and technology. She specializes in bringing clarity to digital communications and simplifying complex concepts into human, user-friendly language.

In her role at IDL, Kate focuses on creating content such as library tutorials, research tools, and workshops that guide, inform, and empower IDL users through outreach and education initiatives.

Kate holds a degree in psychology from the University of Iowa, along with professional training in UX content design and UX design. She began her career as a research assistant in the behavioral sciences, working in health psychology, psychiatry, and youth crime research. She later served as a program manager and writer for a national peer learning program for community health centers, where she helped practitioners and associations connect and share best practices.

Prior to joining IDL, Kate worked at the University of California, Santa Cruz, as a health communications specialist. Go Banana Slugs!

Outside of work, she enjoys playing the ancient Greek lyre, facilitating creative writing critique groups, creating electronic music, writing flash fiction, and exploring the California coastline.
