Intrinsic Value Arts Series Presents a Virtual Experience: The Bio Spirit Safety Suit

UCSF Intrinsic Value Arts Series presents The Bio Spirit Safety Suit (Reflections on A Final Resolve) conceptualized by Rashad Pridgen. It is a Afrofuturist masquerade suit, a part of the Global Street Dance Masquerade pantheon. A public art ritual, site specific procession and community engagement practice. A converge of science and art, developing into a transdisciplinary response to the 21st century HIV/AIDS crisis. It explores a variety of questions: How do the performing arts and science work together to fight the AIDS epidemic? What are the new visions of prevention? Who are the precious ancestors speaking to the medical and social justice community for transformation? How do we honor local and global icons we have lost to the AIDS epidemic?
