Access Elsevier Ebooks Through January
Take advantage of over 1,500 "Evidence-based Selection" ebook titles published by Elsevier between 2007-2012 and available via the Library Catalog. With Evidence-based Selection (EBS), UCSF has unlimited access to the selected titles until January 31, 2013. At that time, the Library will pick which titles to purchase permanently based on the usage throughout the last year. Books not purchased will no longer be accessible.

Library Launches Pilot Open Access Fund
Publishing in open access (OA) journals has become a popular choice for UCSF authors. Yet more authors would choose OA if they had funds to cover the publication charges. The Library has begun a pilot to help authors pay article processing charges and other OA publishing fees. The goals of the program are to:
