UCSF now has online access to the catalog of journals published by Taylor & Francis. Taylor & Francis publishes over 1,000 journals with strong representation in the social sciences and humanities, as well as medicine and the sciences. The California Digital Library has been negotiating with Taylor & Francis for several years on behalf of the UC libraries. Access to the T&F journals has been highly anticipated, as UCSF and other UC libraries postponed purchasing new subscriptions to several key journals in order to aid the negotiations.

The online subscription includes all T&F journals published online as of 2006, with access to volumes published since 1997. A sampling of titles includes:

AIDS Care
Disability & Society
Journal of Health Communication
Medical Teacher
Nicotine & Tobacco Research
Prehospital Emergency Care
Substance Use & Misuse
Xenobiotica

The journals can be accessed from the Online Journals directory and from UC-eLinks. Records will also be added to the Library Catalog.
