Open Access Publishing Discounts

UCSF authors are eligible for discounts on the article publication charges (APCs) for open access articles in many journals, as well as a couple book publishers.

Hybrid OA refers to subscription journals that offer a paid open access option at the article level. Most publishers offer a hybrid option. Fully OA means all content in the journal is open access.
