CANADIAN CIGARETTE ADVERTISING
The following section contains a representative
sample of
Canadian cigarette advertising.
Most major brands have been included. In most
cases
we have shown an example of the advertising in
1975 (i.e.
pre-"lights"), launch material for brands launched
since
1975 and a sample of current advertising.
Most brands, particularly those involved with
lifestyle
advertising like du Maurier and Player's, have
many
executions per campaign. Some brands (e.g.
Player's
Light) may have had different campaigns since
launch
(but prior to 1982) but we have elected not to
show, in
this summary format, the interim campaigns.
