RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ESTABLISHNIE4T TO DR. S.J. GREEN, FROM DR. I.W. HUGHES. RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT, KILLBANK. REF IWH/JP/46C. DATE 17th April, 1968. Enclosed are four copies of Report No. RD - 560-R, which covers our work in the area of the absorption of nicotine. The conclusions from this work concerning the two-stage absorption processes are of considerable interest, and we now hope to be able to confirm them using smokers in the laboratory. Another interesting observation is the fact that some filters, e.g. carbon filters, appear to influence the rate of absorption; this is one area we intend to look at very closely. Because of the nature of this report, do you agree that we send it to IsT. Co.? Enos* 4e Co C@I BATCo document for Province of British Columbia 22 April 1999
