"A meeting of the Tobacco Strategy Group was held on Thursday I Oth March 1994.
39. Mr Kohnhorst presented a chart showing technical plant utilisaflon. It was agreed that it
would be more useful if the measure was indexed. 100 should represent theoretical
maximum capacity, and the chart should set out the factors reducing each factory's measure
below 100, including legal restrictions and cost penalties as well as sales shortfalls. Mr
Ettedgui will work with Mr Kohnhorst's team to develop this, and a way of incorporating
planned capital expenditure. Each manufacturing entity should then send Ns information to
Mr Kohnhorst.'
Subsequent to the meeting, Mr Sandefur spoke to Mr Herter, and it was agreed that the
responsibility for collecting Group Manufacturing Capacity requirements would pass from Mr
Kohnhorst to Mr Davis, since most of the manufacturing plants are the responsibility of
BATCo.
