Enclosed are updated print-outs from our key issues monitoring system.
Issues due for review in June/July/Augusc which are being progressed with
the Operating Groups are as follows:-
BATCo.
A Reduced Costs/Increased Exports Leaf - Postponed July to September.
F Plans for expanding Southampton - Will be included in October preview.
J Improved Planniag - Draft paper sent to Chairman, R.S following-up.
K Wintermans - This is stalled as Agio unresponsive.
R China Re-arganisation - BDB preparing CPC note.
V Smoking Compendium - Revised version due out June, being chased.
It is assumed Finance Department is progressing items G (Presentation
excluding RAT IF) and L (Dispose Millbank). Also, schemes to increase UK
income.
BATCF
B Head Office/R&D Relocation - UR has confirmed this is on schedule for
presentation in July.
It is assumed Finance Department is progressing item H (Safe Funds
reallocation).
Brown 4 Williamson
No issues due for review June/July/August.

B Hardee's Plans - due April.
C Hardee's Strategy - due July.
E CT Financial Plans - due July.
The Chairman has decided that these Issues should not be pursued at

J Tabasa Re-organisatiou - due September.

Souza Cruz have been asked to confirm that these are an schedule and also
that Domestic Market Profitability and Leaf Export Expansion will be
included in October Previews.
It has been assumed that Finance Department is pursuing the Implementation
of the agreed rationalisatioa and divestments (items A-E).
Financial Services
There are no key Issues due for review in June/July/August.
