In his presentation on Smoking Issues, Dr. Thornton might be asked to concentrate on reviewing recent studies to determine the extent and nature of the association between smoking and disease. Also, co review the controversy about the validity of the published conclusions from this work. 2. Mr. Baker (and Mr. Frigon) might then be asked to review the current situation regarding litigation related to smoking. Mr. Baker could then go on to a more general review of recent developments in product liability and to a consideraciom of possible implications for the Group.
