With reference to our discussion at the Ventilation Conference
last October, please be informed that r will be the person to
contact for exchange of information and queries regarding
the production aipect of ventilated cigarettes.
Since our last meeting, the only point of interest to report
is that we have opt;d for, -.jipe skip tip versus Z:2 gluing
technique at 5,000 c.p.m. on Mark 91.Vax S for regular
production of ventilated cigarettes.
our decision was !;a3ed on equal ventilation results for both
technique3 coupled with a preference for the principle of

wi.-c ckip tinping for better bonding. Unfortunately, the
dcoicion had to be .-even with limited running at 5,000 c.p.m.
I would appreciate any comments you may have running at
5,000 c.p.m. w,-th either of these gluing techniques.
