As you know, we are currently attempting, via the Chemical Working Group.
to assess the relevance of the ISCSh data on tar, nicotine, carbon
monoxide, HCN, acrolein and formaldehyde.
It will be of considerable help to them if you could arrange for any
data BAT may have on these analytes to be given to the Chemical
Working Group. I did mention to you that ITL and Gallaher will be
presenting what data they have in this respecz. The Working Group has
been asked to report back, so that the Research Directors will have their
opinion of the LGC study before their proposed meeting with Dr. Froggatt
at Neuchatel.
