Patent Status: One patent recently published, other patent applications have been filed but not yet published. Subject: Tobacco smoke filter. Description: Discs, punched from glass (silicate) fibres treated in an undisclosed manner to modify the fibre surface, are assembled into filters so that the disc face is perpendicular to the direction of air/ smoke flow. The disc had no electrostatic properties which could influence the filter performance. Filter claimed to reduce TPM to 10-12 mg. on King Size cigarettes (reducing nicotine proportionately).
