The following action has been agreed for this Task Force : I, All companies participating should send details on their methodology for measurement of particulate matter, nicotine and CO in sidestream smoke and ETS to Or, Green by Ist november 1981, Data obtained with a standard 281 cigarette should also be sent, If available~ 2, The Task Force should act quickly. Many companies have their own unpublished methods · this should be tabled rather than the Task Force wasting time re·inventing the wheel, 3, Green will collate ETS methods; Jenkins will collate sidestream methods, a, There will be a meeting of the Task Force in London in early January 1988 to review methods and to set up a protocol for comparison andlor further development of methods, 5, Green will contact me concerning a venue in Landon, Clit; PDF -!::!!::!!::!.f3 StlC.i: Dill Points needed for clariication (1) Can the Research Policy Group give the go·ahead for an active participation in this lask Force · t~e, can we have perni~9lon to submit our methodology by Ist Novemberl (ii) Could we use Mlllbl~ far the Meeting In January · a Conference Roon for about 20 peopler (lii) We Reed to establish kbo should participate from Southampton, in terms of the seniorltylsknding of Green, Jenkins and others on this task Force, I believe I should join it even though it nill become a methodology comparison, (iv) I strongly believe BAT should act enthusiastically in thir iark Force and take as active a leading role as it will allow, rather than any neutral or negative role, Can we have RPG support for this?
