Samples for Proiect JANUS
As you will gather from another letter, we
can begin work on the JANUS samples whenever we
wish.
At the moment, we are still awaiting:
1. A code I'D" die
2. Tins for packing the cigarettes
3. Details of the bland and dimensions
to be used
The T.R.C. TI and T4 cigarettes ere 70 mm. x
2 S.3 mm. circumference. Should we follow these or
would it be preferable to stick to B-A.T.
dimensions of
70 mm. x 25.6 min. circumference, or 70 an. X 2S
mm.?
At thellRst meeting, we agreed not to return
CRS to the blen but It was left that you would
establish
with Leaf E . Lent whether the grades used in
CNI02
blend corresrond at all closely to the flue-cured
portion
of VICEROY blend in Louisville.
Could you please lot me know your conclusions
on these two points, so that the manufacturing
arrangements
can be made with Southampton Branch. We can then
start
soon as the outstanding engineering and packing
items
