Fundamental Research Proqramme - Your proposals for the contributions for each operating group to fund the programme was noted by the meeting, but before agreeing these, it was asked that there should be a further checking by Mr. Broughton to ensure that the allocations are made in the most tax efficient way. 2. Technical Liaison - BOB has been asked to present a paper at the next Teeting, detailing the technical liaison meetings which have been held in 1989 and 1990, showing the location of each and the names of the people who attended. 3. Requlatory Issues - The TSRT agreed that the paper on smoking on aircraft would be useful as general guidance for use by individual companies.,and should be made available to them for use in this way. 4. Sidestream Smoke - The objectives for reducing sidestream smoke are to be reviewed at the next meeting. 5. Smokino COMDendium - TSRT noted that the Smoking and Health compendia will be reviewed and updated in January 1991. 6. Additives Reqister - TSRT noted that the additives register would be completed in the first quarter of 1991. In addition to the above subjects which were discussed at the last meeting, it would be helpful if briefing notes could be made available for BOB for the next meeting on ammonia technology - decomposition products and the result of BATCo's evaluation of Y-1 tobacco. The next meeting of the TSRT will be on Wednesday, 27th February. I would be grateful if you would let me have any papers to be circulated in advance by not later than Monday, 18th February and any briefing papers for Barry Bramley by Friday, 22nd February. Iz- .
