Learning Technologies

Learning Technologies

Learning Technologies (formerly the CIT) supports the application of information/computing technology to the delivery of course content. Our role is to facilitate and promote effective use of multimedia and computer-based resources in the UCSF curricula.

Learning Technologies manages the Collaborative Learning Environment (powered by Moodle), an online environment used by all UCSF schools for delivering curricular content, as well as Podcasts@UCSF, a platform for hosting and distributing instructional media.

Learning Technologies offers workshops for faculty and others in a variety of topics, including building courses in the CLE, creating and distributing podcasts, and more advanced CLE workshops on topics including grading, quizzes, and groups.

Learning Technologies also provides support for multimedia workstations with the tools needed to develop digital content, available in the Technology Commons (CL240 -  Library 2nd floor). These workstations are used by faculty, staff and students who are developing curricular materials.

Follow the Convergence blog for updates on the CLE, content creation and emerging technologies at UCSF.
