EndNote & RefWorks/RefShare

Both RefWorks and EndNote will help you manage your citations and help you write and format your paper. Which one you use will depend on the scale of your project and the amount of collaboration involved. EndNote allows greater flexibility, has more sophisticated writing tools and has more options for working with images. EndNote users now have access to a stripped down, web-based version called EndNote Web that works in conjunction with the desktop version.

RefWorks is easy to use, is available anywhere through the Web, and is perfect for collaborative projects. RefWorks users have access to RefShare, a feature which enables you to open your RefWorks folders to other users for instruction or collaboration. RefShare is not limited to RefWorks account holders, nor does it require any additional plug-ins. Anyone can share a folder and provide colleagues or classmates access to their citations.
