PubMed Adds Tool to Streamline NIH Policy Compliance

MyNCBI is a very useful PubMed service that stores saved searches, filters search results into different categories, and highlights search terms. Creating a MyNCBI account is free and takes a minute.

If you currently have an NIH grant and are looking for an easy way to comply with the NIH Public Access Policy, there’s now another reason to get a MyNCBI account. eRA Commons users who link their Commons account with MyNCBI can use the “My Bibliography” feature of MyNCBI to track whether their publications are in compliance, or not, with the NIH Public Access Policy. Users can also add NIH extramural grant information, and designate delegates to manage their compliance with the policy. Complete information about these new services is available from the NIH.

The UCSF Library also provides information about the NIH Public Access Policy, and we are happy to respond to your questions and comments at any time.
