Three databases that offer digital reproductions of historic imprints -- including many works in the health sciences -- are now available on GALEN.

Archive of Americana provides searchable full text of historical books, newspapers, and selected government publications. It comprises 4 collections: Early American Imprints (1639-1819), Early American Newspapers (1690-1876), American State Papers (1789-1838), and the U.S. Congressional Serial Set (1817-1980).

Early English Books Online (EEBO) provides digital reproductions of virtually every work printed in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and British North America, and works in English printed elsewhere from 1473-1700. The works are searchable by author, title, subject, and key word.

Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO) provides searchable full text of 150,000 works published in the United Kingdom between 1701 and 1800, including a variety of books, imprints, broadsides, and other items. Searches can be limited by subject area, including "Science, Medicine, and Technology."
