UC Libraries Continue Pilot of New Melvyl Catalog

[General]
[New Resources]
The University of California (UC) Libraries have launched a pilot version of a replacement for the current Melvyl Catalog, which contains records for holdings at all ten UC campuses. UCSF patrons are very much encouraged to test the pilot and offer feedback on how well it meets their needs. Test the UCSF version, Melvyl@UCSF.
Melvyl lovers, have no fear -- the current Melvyl Catalog will continue to be available throughout the pilot. Please note that some of UCSF's records in the current Melvyl do not yet appear in the Melvyl@UCSF pilot. The pilot features a single interface that searches holdings in all UC Libraries, those of libraries around the world, and UC books digitized by Google. UC-eLinks is available for access to the full text of journals or information about print copies. With the new database, you can also read and write reviews of books and share your favorite results with colleagues and peers on sites like Facebook. The pilot runs through December. Get more information on Melvyl@UCSF. Please share your feedback about Melvyl@UCSF at any time, by completing the survey. [back to top] |
