Reshaping Scholarly Communication

To help the campus stay informed about current developments in scholarly communication, the Library has released an expanded section of GALEN called Reshaping Scholarly Communication. This section addresses the issues scholars and libraries face with regards to ever-increasing costs of scholarly publishing resources and restrictions on the use of published work.
The goal of the site is to inform UCSF scholars and authors about what steps they can take to make their published works more accessible. Topics include selecting journals in which to publish, modifying author agreements, what the NIH Public Access Policy means for you, and why depositing your post-print articles in UC's eScholarship is beneficial. Visit Reshaping Scholarly Communication to find out why scholarly communication is at risk and what you can do to help. For questions about these issues, please contact us. [back to top] |
