Current Protocols in Stem Cell Biology
Trial Access through December
The UCSF Library has trial online access to a new publication, Current Protocols in Stem Cell Biology (CPSC). Published in affiliation with the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR), CPSC covers fundamental protocols and methods in the rapidly growing field of stem cell biology.

Content is now available in the following areas and will be updated monthly:

- Embryonic Stem Cells
Methods for isolation of stem cells from a variety of model organisms and humans, characterization of these cells and the undifferentiated state, induction of differentiation into cells of the mesodermal, endodermal, ectodermal, and extraembryonic lineages, and molecular and functional characterization of the differentiated state.

- Adult Stem Cells
Isolation of progenitor stem cells from differentiated tissues, their characterization, and differentiation.

- Genetic Manipulation of Stem Cells
Tools for manipulating the genetic content of stem cells and for marking stem cells.

The trial lasts through December 2007. Please send us your feedback about this new publication.
