The National Center for Biotechnology, in conjunction with the UCSF Library, is offering a free course on NCBI resources to assist life scientists in using molecular sequence databases and bioinformatics tools. The course provides practical information and instruction on effective use of:

- Other databases maintained by NCBI
- Entrez

The course consists of a 3-hour lecture held at Mission Bay on May 3, followed by a 2-hour instructor led computer workshop on May 4. Participants may choose from four workshops, with options at both Mission Bay and Parnassus. Get more details and registration information.
