UC Libraries Partner with Google to Digitize Books

UC has become the latest partner in the Google Books Library Project to digitize books from the collections of several major universities and the New York Public Library.
UC's participation represents an ongoing commitment to promoting access to the world's knowledge base for both scholars and the public. Google's Book Search interface will allow anyone to freely view, browse, and read UC's public domain books, including many of the treasures in the libraries' historic and special collections. UCSF looks forward to participating in this effort and will keep the campus informed as the project develops. Read the full press release. [back to top] |
