Get Connected
- Apply for a Library Borrower Account. Activate your UCSF Campus ID in person at the Parnassus or Mission Bay Library or call (415) 476-2336.
- Create your GALEN Account with your employee ID number. This gives you access to the Collaborative Learning Environment (CLE), wireless, Podcasts@UCSF, and other library services.
- Set up VPN to get remote access to library-licensed resources.
- Follow @ucsf_library on Twitter to get library updates.
- Become a fan of the UCSF Library on Facebook.
Discover Resources
- Search the UCSF Library Catalog for print and online materials.
- Browse online journals.
- Access full-text articles through PubMed@UCSF or other databases.
- Search Melvyl@UCSF for resources from all UC Libraries and libraries worldwide.
Research & Publishing Support
- The Library offers classes on database searching, bioinformatics, and EndNote/RefWorks.
- Librarians are available for individual consultations and research help by chat, phone, email or in person.
- Journal articles can be delivered to you electronically for a minimal fee.
- Private study carrels are available to UCSF Faculty.
- Learn more about copyright issues and open access publishing.
- Research Software Licensing (RSL) offers annual licenses for research software.
Teaching Support
- The Center for Instructional Technology (CIT) offers CLE training and support, multimedia tools, and instructional grants.
- Podcasts@UCSF provide an easy way to deliver course multimedia to students.
- Education librarians offer custom classes on effective literature searching.
- Computer classrooms are available for course use.
- Place course materials on reserve.
