CME Credit for Introduction to PubMed@UCSF Update
The NIH/FAES is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.
 
The NIH/FAES designates this educational activity for a maximum of one hour in category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit actually spent in the educational activity.

Objectives
This class provides a hands-on introduction to using the PubMed@UCSF search interface. The structure and contents of MEDLINE and features of PubMed@UCSF are discussed. Tips and techniques for making the most of your search are demonstrated, including methods for retrieving clinical research.
 
On completion of this course the student should be able to:
Describe the contents of the MEDLINE database
Describe the content of the PubMed@UCSF system
State the purpose of the PubMed@UCSFsearch interface and how it relates to MEDLINE
Perform a basic subject search in PubMed@UCSF
Use standard Limits to narrow a PubMed@UCSF search
Use the Clinical Queries feature to search for clinical research in PubMed@UCSF
Use the Related Articles feature in PubMed@UCSF
Use the Display options in PubMed@UCSF
Print and download citations from PubMed@UCSF
Link from to full text journal articles from PubMed@UCSF
