Google Scholar and the Changing Research Environment

Time: 10 a.m.-noon Place: Lange Room, UCSF Library and Center for Knowledge Management (CKM), 530 Parnassus The Librarians Association of the University of California (LAUC), San Francisco, and the UCSF Library and CKM are pleased to present two speakers who will address issues related to the way information technology is transforming scholarly research and communication.
Dr. Anurag Acharya, the principal engineer for Google Scholar, will speak on "Searching Scholarly Literature: A Google Scholar Perspective." Peter Brantley, of the California Digital Library, will address "CDL Collaborations in Transforming Online Scholarly Resources." Following the presentations, there will be a period for questions and discussion. Refreshments will be served. Open to the public. |
