• In order to access SciFinder Scholar from your computer, you must first read the User Agreement and then download and install SciFinder Scholar client software onto your computer.
• Software is available for Macintosh or Windows operating systems but is not available for UNIX or Linux.
• Access in Library spaces is limited to the Interactive Learning Center on the 2nd floor of Parnassus Library, the Genetech Hall Study Space, and the computer lab in the Mission Bay FARMI Library.
  
• SciFinder Scholar is unavailable from 3 pm Saturday to 5 am Sunday while new records are loaded.
• UC users, at 10 participating campuses, share access to 28 ports on a 24-hour basis. Please allow other UC researchers to use this resource by minimizing connect time and logging out as soon as searches are completed.
