Data Sharing & the PLOS Data Policy [register]

When PLOS announced its revised data policy in March 2014, the scholarly community responded in force, both for and against sharing data on open platforms. This policy has direct implications for UCSF scientists who have published over 1,600 articles in PLOS journals since their inception. Dr. Bloom led the recent revision to PLOS' policy and has been engaged in conversations with scholars around the world about the changes. Dr. DeRisi is an Academic Editor for PLOS Biology and is very knowledgeable about open data. This event is open to all parties and viewpoints. Please join us for what we hope will be a lively dialog.

Date: Thursday, May 1, 2014
