Try Red Book Online by December 23

Red Book, the popular drug pricing resource, is available online for a brief trial period. Responding to requests from UCSF faculty, the Library has activated a trial through December 23. We are negotiating with the publisher for a possible subscription.

Red Book contains information on more than 200,000 prescription and over-the-counter medications, nutraceuticals, and bulk chemicals, as well as some medical devices and supplies.

Red Book Online includes easy search functionality, daily content updates, and customized results. You can search by product name, active ingredient, NDC/HRI/UPC code, or manufacturer. Narrow results by retrieving only active or deactivated drugs and find additional information including extensive average wholesale price (AWP) history.

You'll find Red Book Online in Micromedex. Look for the link in the header. Try it before December 23 and let us know what you think.
