New Library Exhibit: School of Pharmacy History

Robert L. Day Collection

A new library exhibit, School of Pharmacy History: Robert L. Day Collection, highlights selected artifacts, photos, and documents detailing the history of the UCSF School of Pharmacy from 1872 through the late 2000s. The exhibit is currently on view in the Parnassus Campus Library, 5th floor.

The materials in this collection were gathered by Robert L. Day, PharmD, who served as a faculty member and later as associate dean of the UCSF School of Pharmacy from 1962 until his retirement in 2012. As acting school historian, Day collected papers and artifacts relating to the history of the UCSF School of Pharmacy and to pharmacy practice in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Robert L. Day Collection is housed in the UCSF Library’s Archives & Special Collections. Detailed processing and digitization for these materials were made possible by generous support from the UCSF School of Pharmacy.
