Melvyl Adds New Journal Articles
Melvyl, the discovery tool of the UC libraries, has recently been enriched with several million new journal articles and other documents from a wide range of databases. This is especially helpful for broad, multidisciplinary topics. Once you find a relevant database for your topic, you can then search that specific database via the library’s website. Relevant databases to the UCSF community include:
- BioMed Central
- BioOne
- ERIC
- History of Science, Technology & Medicine
- MEDLINE
Some tips:
* Links in the left sidebar let you narrow your search to articles or ebooks only, or to focus on items from particular databases.

* In most cases, Melvyl will display citations and abstracts, with the full text accessible through the yellow UC-eLinks button.
* Make sure you're on the campus network to view full text.
For more information, see the Expanded Article Content in Melvyl® Guide, or contact us.
