Cancer: Databases - General
A database of prostate cancer-related images, complete with notes. The tool allows selection of images for use in presentations. They are saved to a personal folder, and received as a PowerPointŪ file via email. The notes section of the file contains detailed notes explaining each slide.
 
A database designed to assist in the proper work-up of patients with undiagnosed chest masses. The database contains interactive diagnostic aids, case studies, and topic-oriented materials. Physicians can earn CME credit upon completion of different modules (i.e., Pathologic types of lung tumors, Clinical presentation and initial evaluation of patients with suspected thoracic neoplasms, etc.).
 
The National Cancer Data Base (NCDB) is a nationwide oncology outcomes database for over 1,500 hospitals in 50 states, and is in its 10th year of operation. The NCDB was founded as a joint project of the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACOS) and the American Cancer Society (ACS).
