Best sellers, popular fiction, non-fiction, and audiobooks are available at the Parnassus Library. Newspapers and current magazines are available at both Parnassus and Mission Bay.
- Popular Reading books and magazines are located on the south side of the current journals section on the main (3rd) floor of the Parnassus Library.
- Newspapers are currently located on the north side of the current journals section.
- Newspapers and magazines are also available at the Mission Bay FAMRI Library.
- UCSF personnel and students may check out books for 4 weeks.
- Any library user may read the books, newspapers, and magazines in the library.
- The Popular Reading collection is constantly updated by adding new titles each month and returning ones that are no longer popular.
- Newspapers are kept for 2 days, weekly magazines are kept for 3 months, and monthly magazines are kept for 6 months.
